“Christmas Stocking By Mail”

For those of you who are unable to be with loved ones ON Christmas day it can be tough to feel festive and in the holiday spirit.  My suggestion to you is send a “Stocking By Mail.”

Here’s how to craft the perfect “Stocking By Mail”

If you time it right the package can get there ideally the day before Christmas Eve! Go to a physical post office and talk to a real live human, it’s scary I know, but they’ll hook you up with the perfect packaging and shipment type for your package to get there in one piece AND on the right day.

Step One: The Christmas Essentials

You can tell I really like candles at this point I’m sure, but what’s more festive than coming home, getting in your PJs and cuddling up on the couch with 1 (or 10) lit candles? For maximum Christmas cheer buy a Fresh Balsam or Frasier Fur scented candle.  Pro Tip– Bath & Body Works releases “new candles” that are really just a new name on an old scent.  So if you can’t find that Holiday candle that you loved from a previous year, check the bottom of the candles while you shop and it will give a description of the scent.  This year I’m sending my boyfriend a Mahogany Teakwood Candle…a more “manly” scent.

These are $12.95 Today! (12/13)

These pants are only $9.99!!!! at Kohl’s
These are only $15.00 at Old Navy!!

You cant curl up on the couch before you’ve gotten in to your festive PJ pants so add that to the list…Kohls, Target, Old Navy, Marshalls/TJ Maxx all have great options but below I’ve linked affordable pairs of trendy buffalo check pajama pants to the left!

There’s always got to be something edible in your stocking and I love chocolate so whether it’s chocolate covered pretzels or tropical skittles throw in a sweet snack! My “Stocking BY Mail” has a big box of assorted chocolate covered nuts from Romolo’s, my hometown chocolate store. I received a massive package from Romolo’s full of gifting goodies!

Fuzzy Socks are always a go to stocking stuffer to top things off so if you click on right here it’ll send you straight to Target’s fuzzy sock selection, most are only $5!!

Step Two: Christmas Cheer

To make your stocking just a little more personal add a picture of the two of you and write a personal note on the back.  NOTES ARE MY FAVORITE! I literally asked my boyfriend for JUST a love note last year for Christmas.  I love when someone puts how they feel about me on paper and takes the time to think about it and write it down because in that instant you know that they were thinking only of you and how romantic is that!? *crying face emoji* *heart eye emoji*

The Finishing Touch: Labeling

Once your items are packaged properly seal the box with a note, “Do Not Open Until Christmas Morning.” You might not be there physically but it’ll be so sweet for them to feel your love on Christmas no matter how far away they are!

Stay Tuned…I will be doing a Live Instagram Story the day I put my Stocking By Mail together so you can see the finished product!
