Holiday Gift Combos Under $40

This is a gift guide for your lady boss, your distant relative who decided last minute to tell your family they’re showing up for Christmas, your pseudo-friend in that awkward “do we get each other Christmas gifts?” phase, or that person you just completely forgot about until last minute.  A lot of times my go-to is a candle but sometimes I second guess myself, is that enough? Does it look like I put almost no thought in to this gift aka does it look exactly like what it is? My solution to this is to always choose multiple small gifts to give together, to show the person “hey! I thought about you not once, but twice! I’m better than those single candle gift givers, look at me, I overachieve!” When in reality the most minimal amount of effort was put in…here’s how!

Combo 1: Three Wick Candle & Local Chocolate

If you’re from Erie you know damn well what “local chocolate” I’m referring to…and if your first thought wasn’t Romolo’s then you should consider moving immediately, you’re simply not worthy.  Luckily Romolo’s has a website so even if you’re not from Erie you can allow your weird cousin to indulge in the best chocolates the world has to offer.

And when it comes to the candle, Bath & Body Works is my go-to.  With that being said, PLEASE, I’m begging you, NEVER spend $22.50 on a candle unless, when lit, it gives you magical powers.  Bath and Body constantly runs $12/or 50% off candle sales not to mention the fact there is always a $10 off $30 of 20% off coupon floating around.

I linked my favorite B&B candle scent and my favorite chocolate for you above!

Combo 2: Starbucks Travel Mug & L’Occitane Hand Lotion

I recommend shopping in the physical Starbucks store because they always have a wide variety of their new travel mugs and they’re honestly not as expensive as one would assume.  For the lotion you can always substitute it for something cheaper (Bath and Body always has huge sales) but I love L’Occitane products and the quality is well known so it adds the appearance of a super well thought out/caring gift.

I linked an example of a Starbucks travel mug I found on Amazon and a lotion example!

Combo 3: Single Wick Candle & Coffee Shop Gift Card

I recently found these candles that I really like, they’re smaller but super high quality and amazing scents.  The fact that they’re not Bath and Body works also adds to the illusion that this isn’t a last minute gift.  I love the coffee shop gift card combo too because that makes it even more personal if you can figure out which coffee shop the person frequents, and you can choose how much you like them, I mean how much you want to spend*

I linked my favorite candle above and ya’ll know what a gift card looks like and where to get one so I didn’t think it was necessary to link those.

I hope this guide helps you navigate the tumultuous waters of the Holiday season!
